Pre-Treatment Faqs

Every treatment is individualized based on your facial assessment and we will need to see you animate in person in order to give you an exact number of units you will need.

Botox will last for about 3 months. If there are static lines present (lines that are present at rest) I would recommend coming to get your treatments every 3 months so those lines can repair. If we are doing your botox for prevention, you have the option to get it done every 3 months or you can truly wait until the creasing is starting to bother you.

Stay away from ibuprofen, fish oils, and vitamin E. You should also not drink alcohol for 24 hours prior to appointment so we minimize the risk of bruising.

The fillers we offer for lips are Restylane, Restylane Kysse, and Juvederm. The difference between the fillers is how structural they are and how long they will last. Restylane is very natural and will last for 6-9 months. Restylane Kysse is made specifically for the lips with a new technology that flexes and moves really well and can last up to 12 months. Juvederm is a little more structural than the other lip fillers and is the most hydrophilic (pulls in the most water) and will plump the lips for 9-12 months

Post-Treatment Faqs

Botox is going to take 10-14 days to completely kick in. For the first 24 hours I recommend not working out and for 4 hours after treatment do not press on the areas that were treated and no laying down for four hours as well.
No working out for 24 hours. You should continue to ice your lips on and off for the first day. If you have a bruise you should switch to heat the next day to try and get the blood to reabsorb in the vessel. No firm pressure to the area for about 3 days.
Swelling and bruising are completely normal after filler and can last anywhere from 3-10 days. I will not reinject or fix any asymmetries for two weeks after your injections to make sure we are not chasing swelling that is still present.

This is completely common and normal. Please allow 2 weeks for your botox to take full affect. Your muscles in your face can react at different speeds causing this affect.
